This Privacy Policy explains how WALTERS ENTERPRISES FL LLC, doing business as
Top Spots ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with Top
Spots (https://www.gotopspots.com) (the "Site").
1. Summary
The Site is a static, informational website. It does not offer visitor accounts,
logins, or payments, and it does not run analytics or advertising trackers. We do
not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described below.
Business ratings and review counts shown on the Site are sourced from Google.
2. Information we collect
- Information you send us. The Site has no contact form. If you email us —
for example, using the address published on our advertising placements or in
Section 11 — we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name,
email address, and the contents of your message.
- Automatically collected technical data. The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like
any web host, Vercel processes standard technical information needed to deliver
the pages to you, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and
timestamp. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.
- Analytics and advertising trackers. We do not currently use any. The Site
runs no analytics service, no advertising network, and no tracking pixels.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses no local storage, no
tracking pixels, and no advertising or analytics cookie of any kind.
- If you have never signed in to our advertiser portal, the Site sets no cookies and sends no information anywhere.
Nothing about your visit leaves your browser.
- If you do have an advertiser or administrator account, two cookies are involved.
Both are ours, and both exist for one purpose: showing your own account in the
header instead of a login link. The first is named ts_hint. It is set when
you sign in to the portal, it is readable across gotopspots.com, and it
contains the single character "1" — it records nothing about who you are, and
is used only to decide whether the next step is worth taking. The second is
the portal's own sign-in cookie, set on portal.gotopspots.com, which
identifies your session there.
- What the script does. When
ts_hintis present, one small script asks the
portal whether you are currently signed in. The reply says whether you are,
and which area of the portal is yours. Nothing else is sent or received, we do
not record which pages you read, and every page works in full with JavaScript
turned off. Signing out, or clearing your cookies, removes both cookies.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use information
We use the information you email us to respond to your message and, where
relevant, to discuss advertising. We rely on our hosting provider's standard
technical processing to deliver and secure the Site. We also use information as
needed to comply with legal obligations.
4. Google data and third-party services
The Site uses Google Maps / Google Places to obtain business names, ratings,
review counts, and related public information. Your use of Google-provided
content and features is subject to:
which are incorporated into this Policy by reference. Google may collect and
process data in accordance with its own policies. Google and the Google logo are
trademarks of Google LLC; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
The other third parties involved in operating the Site are:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery.
- Google LLC — the source of the business data we publish, obtained through
the Google Places API when we build the Site.
Each third party handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not share the
information you email us with any of them.
5. Advertising
A city's leaderboard pages may display a single sponsor placement for that city.
Where a city's sponsorship has not been sold, the pages show our own notice
inviting inquiries. Sponsor placements are plain links. They involve no tracking
technologies, no cookies, and no advertising network, and they do not affect our
rankings.
6. Data retention
We do not operate visitor accounts or a customer database, so we hold very little
information about visitors.
Business information shown on the Site — names, ratings, review counts, and
Google place identifiers — is obtained from Google and published as a
point-in-time snapshot. Each leaderboard page displays the date its data was
captured, and the data on a page does not change between rebuilds.
Email you send us is kept only for as long as needed to respond and to meet legal
obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete
personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To
make a request, contact us at info@gotopspots.com. Because the Site runs no
analytics or advertising trackers, there is nothing to opt out of on the Site
itself. The only cookies involved in browsing are the two described in Section
2, and they exist only if you have an account with us; signing out of the
advertiser portal, or clearing your cookies, removes them.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your
jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you
understand your information may be processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Effective date" above shows the
latest revision. If the Site later adds features such as analytics, visitor
accounts, or payments, we will update this Policy before those features go live.
